Eureka College

Eureka College is a small, close-knit private liberal arts college in the heart of Eureka, Illinois — the kind of place where the campus community genuinely cares about doing the right thing. So when the college set out to align its operations with its values around environmental responsibility, solar energy was a natural fit.

Balance Solar worked closely with the Eureka College team to design and implement a solar energy system tailored to the institution's energy needs and campus layout. Through Balance Solar's PPA financing structure, the college was able to access the benefits of the Federal Investment Tax Credit — a resource previously unavailable to nonprofit educational institutions — making the project economically viable without requiring a large upfront investment.

The installation now helps Eureka College reduce its reliance on grid electricity while demonstrating leadership in sustainability among peer institutions.
