Project Overview
Balance Solar financed a 270 kW DC rooftop solar installation for Community High School District 218's Delta Summit Learning Center in Crestwood, Illinois. The system is expected to produce over 365,000 kilowatt hours of renewable energy each year.
The Learning Center signed a lease with Balance Solar and received an approved SREC contract through the State of Illinois via the Illinois Solar for All program. Balance Solar financed the full cost of the installation, with no upfront expense to the school district.
The system is projected to save the Delta Summit Learning Center over $1.19 million over the next 25 years, equivalent to approximately 85% of the facility's expected electricity costs over that period.
